For so many years, ever since I heard about the Danish photomarathon (
Fotomarathon), I have wanted to be a participant. (The first photomarathon in Denmark, was in Copenhagen in 1989). I waited for many years - don´t know why, but something always seemed to come in the way, when it took place. But in 2014, FINALLY, I participated and completed my first photomarathon in Copenhagen. I photographed my way through 24 topics for 24 hours, and yes, it was hard, and exhausting, but also a big thrill. I was hooked - and I participated again, for the second time, the year after, in June 2015, again for 24 hours.
For the 3rd year in a row I participated in
Fotomarathon, the 4th and 5th of June 2016, in Copenhagen City, Denmark. Once again it was great fun and a big challenge.
It is a victory in itself just to complete the 24 hours of photography. This year it was just an added bonus (and great honor), that two of my photographs were topic winners in the categories of "Bad advertisement" and "Superior" ...
